Rug Cleaning in Cahaba Heights
Collection and delivery in Cahaba Heights are included. We take the rug back to the workshop, wash it properly, and bring it home.
What Cahaba Heights is built from
A former standalone community annexed into Vestavia Hills, now one of the fastest-changing pockets over the mountain: modest post-war houses on flat lots sitting directly beside new two-storey builds on the same street, with more going up every season.
A genuine mix — owners who have been here since it was its own place, and newer households who bought in for the location between Mountain Brook and the Cahaba. Rugs range from long-held pieces to large new ones bought for a house that was finished last year.
The Cahaba Heights problem
Construction fines are the price of living on a street that is rebuilding itself. Bare graded ground next door produces two things that travel: iron-rich clay dust and builder's sand, and both are far finer than ordinary household dirt. They blow in through open doors, ride in on shoes, and migrate straight down to the base of the pile where a vacuum head cannot generate enough airflow to lift them out. Sand is the quiet damage, because it is angular and sharp and it cuts the foundation a little more with every footstep. Clay is the visible half: it is fine enough to lodge between the scales of a wool fibre rather than resting on it, which is why a track mark lightens under a vacuum and then comes back as a rust-tinged shadow the next time the rug is damp. Both have to come out dry, before any water is introduced.
If that sounds like your rug, send the form and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you whether it needs the full treatment or not.
